Preview of Exercise n. 4
G. F. Handel, one of the greatest Composers in history, wrote 6 Partimento-Fugues for Princess Anne, with which even an amateur noblewoman of the 18th century could learn the fundamental principles of the art of the Fugue, and then venture into Composing her own Fugues!
Each of these exercises was designed by Handel to help you develop a specific compositional skill, which you can then apply in the subsequent exercises and use in your own free works!
